We are thrilled to share the 2024 Climate Fund Impact Report, showcasing the remarkable efforts of our Naturefriends organizations in Senegal and Mali. Their impactful work is not just outlined in words but also brought to life in captivating videos.

In 2024, the focus of the Climate Fund's activities was on planting fruit trees—an endeavor that has taken root in both countries. In Senegal, the initiative is part of the ongoing "Tree Sponsorships" program, which began in 2023. This ambitious project aims to plant at least 3,500 fruit trees annually, combining environmental action with educational programs that promote sustainable practices. Meanwhile, in Mali, the “Farako Tree Nursery” project, which started in 2022, has blossomed into a multi-year initiative, with support planned at least until 2026. The goal is to plant at least 500 fruit trees each year from the nursery, involving local schools in environmental education and spreading awareness of climate protection within the community.

But the report goes beyond just the environmental projects. It also highlights our efforts to raise awareness of the Climate Fund itself, offering insights into the campaigns that have driven donations and support. A major milestone has been the success of our “1 Euro for Climate Justice” campaign, launched in March 2024. To date, eight Naturefriends groups have pledged to contribute 1 euro per member annually, creating a sustainable funding stream for future climate initiatives. Our Christmas campaign also made a significant impact, not only raising awareness about climate justice but also generating vital donations to keep our projects going strong.
