101 | Forests and climate change
Forests and their role in climate protection are at the heart of this project. An information folder provides information for instructors working with children and adolescents on how to introduce young people to the topics of climate change, climate protection and forests. It contains information as well as a wide range of methods for knowledge-sharing which can be used with little preparation time and little material expenses.
In two workshops, youth instructors were given the opportunity to try out these methods under professional guidance and take interesting know-how about climate protection and working with children and adolescents back to their local groups. Seeing, feeling, smelling and tasting serve as means to win over not only the brain, but also the heart to the beauties of the forest habitat. Furthermore, the kids’ magazines “Murmelpost” and “Friends” published articles on the topic of jungles and forests that provided interesting facts in an age-appropriate manner.
