In 2012, the German Naturefriends initiated a transformation congress, which was organized by the German Trade Union Federation (DGB), the German Nature Conservation Ring (DNR) and institutions of the Protestant Church. Issues that are not addressed by politics were discussed: It was about the political and economic upheavals of our time, about the limits of growth, about global inequalities and the increasing destruction of our natural environment. A common goal of the cooperation partners was to end the regime of short-termism that prevails today and to set the course for an ecologically, economically and socially sustainable development of the world.
