Your Christmas Tree grows in Africa! Together for more climate justice!
As the holiday season approaches, NFI's Christmas fundraising campaign takes on a special significance. It is a time of giving when we want to support those who are most affected by climate change.
This year, the focus of NFI's campaign resonates deeply with the principles of climate justice. In a symbolic sense, when you support initiatives like the Naturefriends Climate Fund you're nurturing a different kind of Christmas tree - one that grows in the hearts and at the same time in the soil of the villages in Senegal and The Gambia where our Naturefriends tree sponsorship programme is being implemented.
The Naturefriends Climate Fund has been a beacon of hope and action since its inception in 2017. Through it, Naturefriends exemplify the power of collective action and solidarity, showcasing that together, we can create meaningful and lasting change for African communities disproportionately affected by climate change.
Together, let's make this holiday season not just a time of celebration but also a time of meaningful action. Join Naturefriends International in their mission for climate justice! With just 15 euros, the impact is remarkable - you're not only enabling the planting of three fruit trees but also nurturing a sustainable gift that keeps on giving. These trees go beyond just providing fruit; they symbolize resilience, sustainability, and empowerment for the families receiving them.
How it works:
- Transfer at least 15 euros to the Naturefriends Climate Fund: https://climatefund.nf-int.org/en/donate/
- Send an email with the date and amount of the transfer to elena.teutsch@nf-int.org
- We will send you an email with a certificate that you can print out at home and give as a gift to a loved one. Upon request we can also send the certificate via mail – please let us know in your email.
A particularly sustainable gift is tree sponsorship with regular payments. It's not just about planting trees; it's about nurturing a long-term commitment to the environment and the communities that benefit from these initiatives.
